Video Interview Questions
Don't worry - your AI Interviewer is available at any time and you are able to restart a paused interview. You have time to troubleshoot.
Ensure you have a strong connection.
- We recommend at least 10 Mbps WiFi or 5G cellular signal.
Check that you have both camera and microphone access enabled on your browser.
- Click "Allow" on any pop-up boxes that may show up requesting access to your camera / microphone.
- Ensure your device's camera and microphone work, if not, move to a different device.
Reload the page.
Try a different browser or device.
Join the interview from the link in your invitation email.
- The email should come from alex@company.com
- The link should begin: https://interviews.alex.com/
Enter your name and any other information that may be required by the company (denoted by a red asterisk). Then check the box to consent to the AI interview and click Continue.
The next page will test your camera and microphone. There is a purple Continue button. You must click Continue to start the interview.
Yes! There is a reschedule link at the bottom of your confirmation email. See image below.
- Alternatively, go back to your original invite and schedule a new time.

Nope! Just use the link in your email to reschedule at any point. No need to reach out.
Nope! If you would no longer like to take the interview, you don’t need to join the call. You may get an automated email about the rescheduling, which you are free to ignore.
Please email support@alex.com if there is no confirmation email after you schedule or no link in the email.
During the interview, just ask the AI to go back. Or let the AI interviewer know that it mis-heard you. We cover this in our Pro Tips section that’s linked at the start of the interview. After the interview, the content can’t be updated.
Phone Interview Questions

Call back - the interview should restart, or start from your last completed question.
You should get a phone call at the time of the interview. If you miss the call, you can call back.
Yes! Simply text back and let the interviewer know when you would like to reschedule.
Nope! Just use the link in your email to reschedule at any point. No need to reach out.
Just text back on the thread with the Interviewer saying that you no longer wish to take the interview - no sweat!
General Questions
No - once the interview is complete, we process it and pass it along to recruiters. In rare instances, some companies allow candidates to retake the interview but that is up to the sole discretion of the company.
This is up to the company. They will reach out with next steps if they would like to move forward with your application.
No, we do not collect or send any additional information you text or email back to recruiters, such as updated answers or links to portfolios. Please reach out to the recruiter directly.
Unfortunately, no. We are not at liberty to share any feedback from the interview. Feel free to ask your recruiter for their thoughts if/when they get back to you.
