At Alex AI, we believe that AI will fundamentally change how companies hire and how businesses run. This letter is the commitment we make to our clients and their candidates as we build the new era of recruiting together.

Hiring is one of the most consequential decisions a company makes, because a company is nothing without its people.

AI in hiring must meet a higher bar than efficiency alone. That's why we operate under a Human-in-the-Loop Standard: a clear, auditable framework built for enterprise scale, regulatory scrutiny, and long-term trust.

AI should unlock human potential, not automate human exclusion. As the regulatory environment shifts and headlines raise valid concerns about algorithmic bias in recruiting, Alex sets a higher standard for how AI is designed, deployed, and governed in hiring. 

Our approach is grounded in three foundational pillars. The first is that decisions belong to humans. Alex will never be a "black box" that decides a candidate's fate. By design and by policy, Alex does not automate hiring decisions. Our systems are built so that no candidate is auto-rejected by AI, hiring teams can challenge, override, or disregard AI outputs at any point, and the final hiring decision always rests with the hiring team. AI informs your judgment; it does not replace it. Accountability always remains with the hiring team.

The second pillar is data integrity, not data scraping. Alex is designed around data minimization, informed consent, and purpose limitation; core principles of modern privacy regulation worldwide. Alex evaluates candidates only on information they knowingly provide, assessed against your team's job description and defined hiring criteria. Candidates should be evaluated based on their demonstrated potential, not their digital footprint. Alex does not scrape secondary data to construct inferred profiles of candidates from their online activity. We focus on the information a candidate chooses to share. Respecting candidate privacy is how we build long-term trust.

The third pillar is defensible transparency and compliance. Every Alex-powered interview produces a documented record of what questions were asked, how the candidate responded, and which criteria were evaluated. We support candidate disclosures and consent flows so employers can clearly communicate when AI-assisted tools are used and how outputs are reviewed. This creates a consistent, reviewable hiring process that stands up to internal audit, regulatory inquiry, and candidate scrutiny. Hiring teams can review past interviews at any time and refine hiring criteria as roles evolve. Compliance isn't a hurdle to clear. It's a standard of excellence that we are committed to upholding together.
